Yvonne is a practising attorney with 5 years’ experience in legal matters and her expertise extend to a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions.

She has assisted clients, both local and international, in the mining, transport, engineering and construction, telecommunications and transport industries in the restructuring of their South African businesses, share acquisitions, business disposals, BEE consortiums in various BEE transactions and in conducting legal due diligence investigations. Her client base includes large corporate law firms, municipalities and banks.

In relation to renewable energy projects, Yvonne has worked extensively in assisting BEE participants in relation to the corporate structuring and equity finance in respect to the 97MW Dorper Wind Farm Project, which was successful in the first round of the Department of Energy’s REIPP Programme.

Having spent 5 years in the United Kingdom, Yvonne has an international perspective. She has played a key management role in an engineering company – being responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of systems and processes at the company’s customer support centre, which supported the group companies’ worldwide and the local UK customer base. In her position she was tasked with improving the business’s ability to service its customers, including group companies, with a specific focus on industry specific requirements.

Yvonne brings an enormous wealth of sound and broad management experience balanced with strategic insight. Her 5 years at Webber Wentzel and her legal practice helps her to continuously develop her legal knowledge and expertise, shaping her strong commercial law background through contract drafting and negotiations, stakeholder engagements and arbitrating of disputes, thus supporting and building on her success as a manager, strategist and business developer.

Yvonne has an LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is a practising attorney with the Law Society of the Northern Provinces.
